Asymptote Labs was established in 2026 by Justin D’Souza and Shukan Shah. The co-founders earlier built and scaled detection products at Doppel, a cybersecurity startup. Asymptote Labs objective is to provide a solution for the infrastructure gap for enterprise AI management. Their main product is Beacon, an open-source telemetry layer that normalizes AI agent activity into a common data model. This enables companies to secure and monitor agent behavior at runtime. Asymptote headquarters is New York City.
The company has raised $5.5 Million seed led by Tower Research Ventures to commercialize its Beacon platform. Other investors were South Park Commons, Lytical Ventures and 1984 Ventures. The fresh capital will help fund product development as well as engineering expansion.
AI agents have progressed beyond suggestions to editing files, executing commands and operating through connected business tools. For security team that creates an issue: what did an agent do, under whose authority and can the next risky action be halted?
D’Souza stated “AI agents are becoming a new operating layer inside every company, but the infrastructure to understand and control them hasn’t caught up.” “We saw this problem firsthand when building agents at Doppel. As companies deploy thousands of agents across their infrastructure, their runtime data will become one of the most valuable assets they own.”
